About Dr. Fu

Dr. Yihan Fu is a Pennsylvania-based general dentist with a strong clinical focus on comprehensive restorative care and implant dentistry. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry in 2020 and has since built a patient-centered practice dedicated to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care with an emphasis on long-term oral health outcomes. Dr. Fu has a particular academic and clinical interest in implant dentistry and peri- implant disease management. She completed 300 hours of continuing education in implant dentistry through the AAID MaxiCourse at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and is actively pursuing Associate Fellow status with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID). She has also completed the International Team for Implantology (ITI) Foundation Level Curriculum, further strengthening her expertise in comprehensive implant treatment planning and restoration. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Fu is actively engaged in research and scholarly publication. She has authored and co-authored multiple peer-reviewed articles on peri- implantitis genetic polymorphisms, early childhood caries risk factors, pulpitis pathogenesis, inflammatory mediators, and translational dental research. Her work reflects a commitment to bridging clinical dentistry with scientific innovation, particularly in advancing preventive strategies and improving outcomes in implant therapy.

Dr. Fu is deeply committed to expanding access to oral healthcare through both local and international volunteer initiatives. She has served as a volunteer dentist with Mission of Mercy (MOM-n-PA) and Give Kids a Smile, providing free restorative and preventive care to underserved and uninsured populations across Pennsylvania. Internationally, she participated in a Global Dental Relief mission in Guatemala, where she helped deliver comprehensive dental services—including restorations, extractions, prophylaxis, fluoride treatments, and sealants—to more than 100 children as part of a multidisciplinary dental team. Her outreach efforts reflect a strong dedication to oral health equity and sustainable community impact. Dr. Fu has received formal recognition for her professional excellence and leadership at both the state and international levels. She was selected as a recipient of the Pennsylvania Dental Association (PDA) New Dentist Outstanding Achievement Award, a competitive distinction recognizing dentists within ten years of graduation who demonstrate exceptional contributions in clinical excellence, research, organized dentistry, and community service. She was inducted as a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy (FPFA) in 2025, an international, invitation-based honor recognizing sustained leadership, professional integrity, and meaningful contributions to the advancement of dentistry. She is also a selected participant in the Pennsylvania Dental Association Leadership Academy (2025–2026), a competitive program designed to cultivate future leaders in organized dentistry, healthcare policy, and public health advocacy.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Fu enjoys exploring local cuisine and discovering the diverse culinary experiences her community has to offer. She values time in nature, frequently hiking new trails and appreciating the restorative beauty of the outdoors. During the winter months, she embraces snowboarding, finding both challenge and exhilaration on the slopes. These pursuits reflect her dynamic, energetic approach to life and her appreciation for balance, growth, and new experiences.
